A Day in Ulsan
To continue my vacation, I took the KTX from Seoul to Ulsan. The KTX ride took a brief two hours. The only downside was that I traveled so late in the afternoon that I didn't get to my Airbnb until 9:30 pm. Exhausted from traveling all afternoon, I basically just fell into bed.
The next morning I started off my day bright and early to take the local bus, for an hour, to Daewangam Park. I hiked along the coast until I reached the area. I was lucky enough to be the only person there for a while. It was freezing cold and eye-blindingly bright, but I loved every moment there.
I walked down to Ilsan Beach from the park in about half an hour. It was bone-chillingly cold, but I enjoyed the exercise. The beach was deserted and not the cleanest. I took a few pictures, admired the view a bit, and then headed to my next destination.
It took about forty minutes to arrive at Taehwa Forest. I was honestly shocked by how expansive the bamboo forest was. I wasn't expecting it to be as huge as it was. It was calming to walk through it since there weren't a lot of people out and about.
Crossing the bridge from Taehwa Forest, I took a short bus ride to Cafe 295. The cafe was quite small and I was lucky enough to be the only person there. I ordered an earl grey macaron and a green tea macaron with a lemon tea. It was nice to relax a bit after walking around so much.
Friday morning, I packed up my bags and went to the Express Bus Terminal where I boarded my bus to Jeonju.
