Hiking in the Gorge
My family and I spent the day going to two very short hikes in the Columbia Gorge. This first one was called Hat Rock and it is located outside of Pendleton, Oregon. The hike was actually a short walk to the rock and then we went further along the trail to see a beautiful view of the river.
The second hike, also not challenging, is located off the side of the highway close to the small town of Touchet. According to legend a Native American god created these rocks because of his jealousy. I climbed up to the rocks and had a nice picnic lunch there.
