Sunset at Lotte Sky Tower
On a whim, I asked my sister and friend if they wanted to go to Lotte Sky Tower to see the sunset. It has been on my list of things-to-do for years. I think it is one of those typical things to do in Seoul if you ever come to Korea.
I should have anticipated there being a super long line to get to the top, but instead we wandered around the mall and got tea at Guylian. Then, we made our way over to the ticket booth. It cost 27,000 won (about $27) for a ticket. The elevator to the top was so fast, it was incredible.
We got off on the 117th floor. Sadly, it was almost dark already so we missed most of the sun setting. It was very cool to see all of Seoul from so far up. Visitors are able to view Seoul from the 117-120th floors. There are two outdoor decks, with one of them having colored glass, a glass floor that views the ground far below, a cafe, and an area for those who want to go out on the sky bridge tour (separate tickets are needed). From the tower my friend and I could see our areas where we reside, Olympic Park, and many other places we’ve been.
