Relaxing in Tongyeong
This is the second to last place I am going to on my winter vacation trip. I can't believe that time has passed by so quickly! I arrived here around 1 pm by bus from Suncheon.
I decided to relax and take it easy on this part of my trip. I walked over to Dongpirang Mural Village and walked around there. There were quite a few cute cafes in this area.
From there, I walked through the Gangguan Fish Market. There was so much seafood, it made me hungry. There were lots of people shelling oysters in the market.
Spontaneously, I decided to walk along Gangguan Port. It was so calm, and relaxing to see the seagulls flying about and the boats pulling into port.
Overlooking the port, was cafe Badabom that I decided to stop at for some coffee and cake. It had three floors of seating.
I was hungry so I went to a restaurant near my hotel for some sea squirt bibimbap.
The next day, I took the bus to Mireuksan. I took the cable car up the mountain and then hiked the rest of the way to the top. The weather was so warm that I ended up just wearing a sweater. The view was spectacular and I was able to see all the neighboring islands. While I was there, I also bought a fish cake bar and tteokbokki.
My last stop was Panel Coffee. I ordered a super green tea and chocolate cake. I had brought my laptop, so I just did some work while I was there.
I definitely want to come back and take the ferry to some of the islands. Off to Jeju tomorrow!
