Spring Blossoms: Yeouido Hangang & Seokchon Lake
The virus has continued while life goes on. Spring is here and I took the opportunity to take a short trip up to Seoul to capture some of the flowers before they disappeared.
I took the subway to Yeouido Hangang Park. It was nice to walk along the street and observe the blooms falling from the trees. I also continued on the paths closer to the river and found some more blossoms from other plant species. The path was relatively calm and quiet, so I got to relax and just casually stroll along without being disturbed by crowds of people.
I hopped back onto the subway and got off at Lotte Tower, where I walked over to Seokchon Lake. Sadly, because of the virus, the government has blocked off the paths around the lake so that people won’t be crowded together viewing the cherry blossoms. However, there were still a lot of people wandering on the streets above taking photos of the lakeside blooms.
I wanted to mention both of these places, because they are hot spots in Seoul for viewing the cherry blossoms in the springtime. Be aware that during normal times, these areas can get really crowded. However, I recommend going to them at least once if you want to see some nice cherry blossoms.
