A Guide to Yongma Land
My friend and I wanted to get out of Yeoju for a bit, so we decided to take a trip up to Seoul. Seoul has so many activities to offer, but instead of going for the obvious cafe and restaurant hopping that I normally do, we opted for going to an abandoned amusement park.
Yongma Land opened up to the public in 1980 as a small family-friendly park. It was fairly popular, but people lost interest when Lotte World opened up. It closed down in 2011, but people can still visit to take photos and walk around. The entrance fee is 10,000 won (approximately $10).
I wanted to go to Yongma Land because it seemed like a unique place to take photos. My friend was interested in having a photoshoot done, so I agreed and brought along my camera. The park attracts lots of photographers and people wanting photos done here.
I was able to take photos at the carousel, a two-tone wall, and various run-down rides. It was a fun excursion to see something out of the usual.
Directions
I took the subway and then a short bus ride the area. There are so many options on how to get to this area. Then, it is a short walk up the hill and to the park entrance.
