A Week in Thailand

I also decided to go to Thailand for a short time. Sadly, I didn't make it to any beaches. I spent the first few days wandering around Bangkok.

The first day I strolled through Chatuchak Market looking at all the products and bought some Thai and chai tea. The rest of the day was spent indoors at the malls just walking and browsing.

The next day I devoted the whole day to exploring temples. I went to Wat Pho first. It was quite impressive with the Reclining Buddha statue.

After getting slightly lost, I made it to Loha Prasat. It is less well-known, but definitely gorgeous. I was able to climb to the top to get a great view of Bangkok.

I stopped for lunch nearby at Cafe Petit Peyton. The meal was delicious, as well as the Thai tea. They also had root beer, which I've never seen outside of the States.

I made one last stop at Wat Arun. It was quite crowded but the architecture was amazing.

The next day, before leaving Bangkok, I walked around the Grand Palace. Honestly, it would have been amazing if there weren't so many people. I went in the morning, but it was packed with crowds of people. So, instead of enjoying it, I rushed through since it was hot and crowded.

What's necessary after walking around? Of course, I found S & P cafe where I ate an amazing seafood soup and drank a refreshing watermelon smoothie.

That same day I took a van to Suphan Buri where my friend lives. Honestly, I just spent time with friends and relaxed most of the time. However, I did eat some delicious food at hole-in-the-wall places and visited an awesome cafe called The Mills that has the best beverages and desserts. I would go back just to eat and drink there again.

The time flew by in the blink of an eye, and I'm already planning to go back in the near future.
